This is one of the best solo piano recordings I’ve ever, in my admittedly limited experience, heard. It’s especially beautiful in the difficult lower register.

I went on a music cruise with Punch Brothers, and 30-40 other bluegrass bands, the year this album was released. The first Mountain Song At Sea. Incredible musical experience. Bluegrass players agree: Punch Brothers are the best string band there is. I love this record. Also the SQ on this record is fantastic, in case anyone is concerned about that.
