LYRA DELOS IS AMAZING!!!!

After nearly throwing the LYRA DELOS in the garbage, a swap out of phono preamps have vindicated this fine cartridge.  The BAT VK P12 phono preamp has transformed the LYRA into a game changer. I retract all previous statements about this Cartridge other than it I do believe it sounds best with tubes or EXTREMELY high end solid state with FET's. Music now floats effortlessly without grain, without harshness and full of detail.  The Lyra tracks beautifully and is nearly as quiet as digital( no clicks and pops).

What an embarrassment. Lyra fan here. I have the Lyra Etna... way to try to ruin the Lyra name with your other thread.

The guy had a sub par phono stage, unable to show what the Lyra is capable of, that's all.

A negative thread ISN"T the end of world for an already established brand. No big deal

Not necessarily.
One of those fans came over to my place and dialed the Delos in. Don't know If it was setup or a different phono preamp was needed.

The most stupid threads on audiogon are the most popular, but basically it's just an opinion of a stranger. Audiogon today is just a FAQ message board, people normally post here when they have some problem with their gear. How anyone can "ruin the name" of the internationally renowned brand by posting something on audiogon? Who cares about posts on audiogon?

Opinion is fine.

But he was not having any of the recommendations and was just bad mouthing the Delos.  Believe it or not, people read up on these major purchases and a bad thread can leave a bad taste.

I followed the other thread, this guy doesn’t know what’s going on.
