Gerry Marsden has passed

Gerry Marsden leader of the British Invasion group Gerry and the Pacemakers has died.
Always a professional and writer of great songs like Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying, Ferry Cross the Mersey, How do You do it and many more has passed. I can remember wanting a Gretsch guitar after seeing Gerry and George Harrison with them.
R.I.P. You'll Never Walk Alone.

I was saddened to read of this artist's death few days back, I have always loved the music he and his bandmates made.  A lasting impression on me, especially Ferry Across The Mersey, I just love the sentiment there.  We need some of that now, I think.  Maybe a lot of it.
He did write some beautiful songs, and I'm also surprised, looking back that he didn't continue to be a major player for more years, but there are always reasons for these things that only those close to the situation know.
