Help with Audience "The ONE"

Hi,
I bought a pair of Audience "The ONE" bookshelf speakers. My setup is simple and my space is small; I play mostly classical, rock, country and jazz from the desktop system. And I am currently using the speakers with PS Sprout. My previous speakers (Elac B6s) were much more musical ... and although the "ONEs" were clearly more elaborate, I know they were also less rich. Will another desktop integrated amp perform better? Peachtree, maybe? I want to spend under a thousand dollars. My financial situation is not that good. and i must say the footprint must be small. Also, the sound of these speakers can be just like that, and no integrated amplifier can "solve" the problem.
I would be glad if you help.

I'll share what will likely be an unpopular recommendation but have you considered the new Sonos Amp? Class D. 125w. $650.

I have one driving a pair of Aerial Acoustics 6Ts. I assumed it would not be enough amp to drive them adequately but I have been pleasantly surprised.

Have you considered adding a subwoofer instead of changing out amps?

A note on break in on these speakers from Music Direct:
A word on burn-in: normally we don't talk about burn-in on speakers, but The ONE is so unique we felt it necessary to comment. Out of the box, The ONE requires about 150Hrs of play time at moderate levels to come into its own. Although exceptionally good out of the box, during the burn-in time the bass curve flattens out, the midrange opens up and the high frequencies (already good) sweeten up and extend considerably.
