What speakers have best bass for hip hop, and rock

I have revel studios and krell kav2250's bi amp, and I'm not that happy with the bass or soundstage. I recently heard a B&W 801N, liked it, and want to audition the new 802D. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really don't know what else is out there that would be good. As you see, I am mostly into "popular" music. Thanks.

Really - for that type of music, some true pro-sound reinforcment speakers will do a better job than any high-end speakers I've ever heard. Check out the EAWs. Plenty of bass for those who crave it.

i had b&w 801 w/ 12" woofer...everytime i listened to black sabbath and cream i would blow the woofers and tweeters, bought the jbl no more problem!
Heard the Sjofn Guru QM10 a few years ago at one of the audio shows in New York and was really impressed with the bass. Best bass and soundstage I heard in a really small speaker and you can put them against the wall. Great for the kind of music you listen to. Check it out.
I second the motion recommending KHorns. They are easily found in the $2k - $3k range used. They are extremely easy to drive ( use a good low to medium watt tube amp) and they will blow you over with sound!

However, Khorns require a good room where you can place them solidily in the corners without any obstructions like windows or doors. You need a minimum of four feet on each wall for both sides of the speaker. A smallish room will not work well; need good space for this speaker to really work well. Also, use vinyl and they will even sound better.:)
