GoldenEar Triton 1 vs. Triton 1R

They do or did make a model called the Triton 1. Maybe they discontinued them but I had a pair a few years ago. 

Maybe I don’t know the name of my own speakers!
Seriously though, the Triton 1R replaced the Triton 1 around 2017.
The 1 is now discontinued.

On the basis of  recommendations and reviews, I’m most likely going to replace my Triton 1’s with 1 R’s.

Yes, I stand corrected. They did make the Triton 1 which has since been discontinued and replaced by the 1R. The 1R is vastly superior to the original Triton 1 in both performance and cosmetics.

I’m eagerly awaiting a trial pair of the Triton 1R speakers probably arriving tomorrow.  Hopefully they’ll be as superior to the Triton 1’s as everyone says.
I just hope they have the same wonderful characteristics, but are even better.
I’ll give my impressions once they arrive.
