Karajan conducts Beethoven, Symphonies 5, 6, & 7. Berlin Philharmonic. 1975 German box cycle re-release from 1962. Deutsche Grammophon.

May listen to 8 & 9 before the night is over as these cycle is so damn good.
@slaw it’s funny how music often for me leads to poetry - I had no idea About Miller Williams until I read the Dust inspiration in the Charles Lloyd liner notes ( did I mention, I love liner notes AND ROON, both !!!
and of course Leonard Cohens poetry - I could go on....
