Art Dudley passed away. Rest in Peace

I did not know his age but would have assumed he was in my age range (old) or a little younger.  I did notice he was not writing so much in the past year or more.  I agree he came across as a nice guy with a sense of humor and a thoughtful approach to reviewing.  RIP.

The audio world just became a little bit smaller. I can't say I knew Art but I met him while working several audio shows and he was always the curious gentleman. I enjoyed Art's writing and his outlook on audio and music.

I’ve enjoyed much of his writing over the years. He was himself and there’s a uniqueness about him. Been reading a lot of his old articles on Garrards and Thorens of late and appreciating him even more. Rest In Peace, Art.

Last week I was watching some Herb Reichert/Stereophile videos on YouTube and one of them featured Art at his home in New York. He seemed very likeable to me (even rescued a big turtle out of the road, lol).
I was just thinking this morning about the beautiful countryside shown in the video at and near Art’s home and how I’d like to visit the area some day so it was jarring to see this unwelcome news. Sincere condolences and warmest thoughts to his family and friends.
