Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400.

Hello All,
I’m coming up on 40 yrs in this hobby,and or obsession of ours,and I started with a pair of Khorns and Macintosh at the age of 12 and Offcourse owned a ton of different gear over the yrs.
I bought a 2170 a little more than 6 months ago and I enjoyed it so much that I quickly realized I don’t really need anything else,solid state,tubes,or even dac’s anymore.I could step off that silly merry go round of amplification and just enjoy music.I was able to utilize the extra money and time and put together a really great sounding network audio system that rivaled the best in analog that I have ever had,I was mainly a analog guy all of these yrs but finally gave it up,I even sold my longtime record collection of 3k records which included many Hot Stampers that I purchased and also several that I found on my own.

So who Luv’s the 2170 and is maybe also thinking about the new 3400.

Happy Listening,
Kenny.

@recroom The Lyngdorf TDAI 3400 is better beyond the extra power in added features that you may or may not care about, but my speakers are 96db and I bought the 3400. I couldn’t be happier. Call Neal at Sound Science and tell him Jonathan Carcopo sent you. You’ll get taken care of.
I received my TDAI 3400 and just spent the past hour setting it up. I still have a lot to learn, but I did manage to get to 98 percent room correction through Room Perfect, and it did make a very noticeable difference.

There is no way I will be making any definitive comments on the sound compared to the defending champions in my system, the formidable Line Magnetic 508ia integrated and Lampizator Atlantic DAC, both of which it would replace if I keep it. But I will say this much. This thing is a delight to use and based on a very early impression, this is going to be some battle!

Agree with jcarcopo regarding Neal at Sound Science. He spent 45 minutes last Saturday talking with me about the Lyngdorf. I placed my order on Monday, and the unit arrived today from Denmark. Top notch service in every respect.

@recroom

The 2170 will have more than enough power for your speakers.  No worries.  I purchased my server and 2170 from Neal and have long praised his service here on the Gon.  Very helpful to me over the years.
@waltersalas

Keep that unit fully on and not just standby when not in use.  Big difference after 12 hours of being on. Happy for you.
