Stereo Times review on the remarkable Naiu Labs Ella MKIII amplifier

The review on the Naiu Labs Ella MKIII amplifier has just been posted on the Stereo Times website. If you read the details in my review you will then understand why the Ella MKIII amplifier turned out to be one of the most extraordinary experiences I have had as a music lover/reviewer in the last forty years. The greatest compliment I can give this amplifier is I bought it after the reviewing process.

Hey milpai,

As I stated in the review there many terrific amplifiers/pieces of stereo equipment and there is no "BEST" because personal taste, room acoustics, and system synergy are all in effect. Yep, Coda, SPL, Pass Labs, Plinius are all excellent SS amplifiers as I state in my reviews on them. I do respond at times to specific questions regarding the performance of an amplifier I have reviewed. However, when the question revolves around which is ultimately the "BEST" I do not respond because that question is absurd to begin with. Many audiophiles are so insecure that a positive review on a new amplifier some how makes their purchase of their amplifier, based on a past review, null and void. I honestly state what I hear in the context of my system(s) and clearly state my personal taste to help the reader get a take on the performance of the piece being reviewed.

Milpai there were questions that were thrown to Teajay ? I believe some just need to be ignore, and leave it that way. He does answer legitimate questions  though. I don’t always agree with Him but I benefited from his posting and some of his less expensive gear reviews.

Hey jayctoy,

Hope all is well with you. I will have a review in the near future that will be right up your listening avenue! Pine Tree Audio just came out with a 6L6 SET amplifier which is amazing and retails for $990! Based on build quality & performance it will be my budget amplifier for the 2025 Stereo Times " Best Components of the year" list.

@teajay , I don't think anyone asked you about the "BEST". I believe the questions ranged from among the Coda and SPL line of amplifiers. The reason that people ask these question is because they believe that unlike a professional reviewer who gets to experience so many different amplifiers, regular users do not get to experience so many amps for a long period of time - even if they go to audio shows where each session can be a few minutes to an hour.

So past review does not become null and void when a new positive review comes up. It is just that folks want to purchase the "best in their budget" at THAT given point in time when they decide to make a purchase in the next few weeks to months.

@milpai

I think you're referring to my question of Terry (posted below). As you point out, nothing was asked about which is "best"...just looking for input from someone that's heard them in his own system.

"Can you comment on how the SPL S1200 or M1000 compare to the Coda S5.5 and/or Coda 16? I believe you've had them all "in house" for review..."
