I did and it is probably the best DAC out there for the money IMO. Versatile user interface but more importantly, very resolving and dynamic performance. I used the balanced outputs into my Krell and it was truly engaging.
I just bought and letting it cook in. I will say the first night and the only night I’ve listened, out of the box I’m very impressed. Most equipment and speakers I find to sound harsh and closed in without anytime on them. My quick and first impression is it’s has a very low noise floor and very neutral without any edge. I quickly went through the filters and settled on NOS and felt from memory the bottom end surpassed what I’m using now and found on some recordings I couldn’t get through the full album, I could through the RME. Initial opinion the RME doesn’t color or soften things but is very resolving and relaxed without being boring or slow. Again I only listened one evening as I’m letting it play or burn in and will spend this weekend and report back. The RME is a little complex to navigate but it’s not that difficult.
I’m loving mine although I have not gone through all the menus. I’ll have to search through the filter selections. I’m driving an amp direct with a minus 1.5 on the treble. Love having all the options but would love an easier way to access all the choices, like via a computer or dedicated app perhaps.
yes it is absolutely excellent - probably best value for the money taking into account sound and features

not a romantic sound though - clear and sharp, great impact and drive - clear lens to the music, no rose colored glasses here
