Eletraglide did it for me. PS Xtream didn't top it.

LONG break in - your faith will be challenged, then rewarded. Same with mods.
WHAT IS A GOOD METHOD FOR BREAK IN -DOES THE PLAYER HAVE TO BE RUNING THOUGHT THE AMP OR JUST ON REPEAT BY ITSELF ALL NIGHT OR....
The LC-1 is a very natural sounding PC. If you want to warm things up a bit look for the Audeince, BMI Whale or the best so far has been the Elrod Sig 3.

Happy Listening.
Agreed. Mine did'nt really sing until 300 or so hours on each, then it will be like someone turned on the lights. Enjoy your player. Gary.
nororiously long break-in on these! don't make any judgments about the player for a while. plus, you need an equal amount of time to burn in both the redbook and the SACD. the sound you describe fits exactly the sound of an unbroken-in unit.
I would recommend a Foundation Research LC-1 dedicated in-line power conditioner.

It retails for $700 and comes with it's own power cable and does more than any standard power cable without the typical current limitations found in power conditioners.

What more could you ask for?

The LC-1 basically a power cable with a small 7" x 5" x 2" black box located about halfway into the cable.

The player does need some time to break in minimum of 100 hours; some say longer. I have upgraded the power cord on my unit to a PS Audio xStream Statement with excellent results; better cleaner bass definition and blacker background.Happy listening
