Musical Fidelity A 3.2 current market value???

Hi,
my older brother the doctor has charged me with selling his Musical Fidelity A 3.2 Integrated. Can someone perhaps tell me what the unit might be worth in today's marketplace? He is the original owner, it is gorgeous, he has shipped it me, I would say it is a 9/10 he is pretty meticulous. Original box, remote, manual of course. Oh well, anyway any help would be appreciated, I beleive it retailed fro $1799.00 back in the day

Third Rrog's post. Not cruel, just realistic. I only buy from sellers with 100% feedback - I'm sure in these cynical times, many Agoners feel that way. I suggest he trade it in for something at a retail store or sell on ebay.
It still baffles me that these threads are green-lit when we have a paid bluebook service. I wouldn't deal with anyone with that type of feedback either. He did say he "beleives" the original price was 1799, so he has maintained plausible deniability on his side.
You will never get enough to satisfy your brother. Best you return it to him. Keeps peace in the family.
Ouch! I just checked your feedback. Maybe your brother should have someone else sell the amp for him. I wouldn't buy from you at any price with only 80% positive feedback.
The original price was $1495 in 2003. Get your facts right before trying to sell it. This is the kind of thing that causes problems with sales.

115wpc and weighing in at 28lbs. It doesn't look like anything too special. Advertise it for $750. Maybe you will get a bite.
If you really want to find out it's current market value, post a no reserve auction starting at $1. In about a week, you will no what it's worth.

Exactly right. I have done this recently and with each auction I got more than expected. Actually felt guilty and refunded shipping charges once as the sell price was so much more than expected.
Look through the sold ads on Ebay. If you really want to find out it's current market value, post a no reserve auction starting at $1. In about a week, you will no what it's worth.
Give your brother a couple hundred dollars and tell him thats all you could get for it. Keep it for yourself.
