I have not heard the MAD but can tell you that teh Jolida JD-9 sounds better than it has any right to for the money even out of the box.

Moded Jolida JD-9 or MAD Ultra 4SE?
What do people think is the best option, a stock Jolida JD-9 with eventual mods (e.g. underwood hi-fi level 1 or similar DIY mods) or a Mapletree Ultra 4SE (preamp and phono).
Any views / thoughts would be appreciated. I know the Ultra is more expensive...but it comes with a separate PSU...
Also, does anyone know if the Jolida is 220v compatible?
