LFD Mistral LE break in time?

Just purchased LE last week and not sure I want to keep due to being excessively bright. Could this be a case of not broken in, or is this the tonal character of the amp, thanks for inquiring?

It'll sweeten up. Also, what is your cd player? I used to have a Mistral, and I really liked it. It was especially nice with vinyl. The thing that I have found with this amp is that it is very revealing of poor recordings. Power cord tweaks help, too--try the Audience Power Chord. I'd give it a little time before you send it back.
