Lab 12/Qualiton Comparison

I'm considering for purchase the following two integrated amps:  Lab 12 integre 4 and Audio Hungary Qualiton A20i.  I'm confident that each will perform well in my small (12' x 15') listening room when combined with the - not too difficult to drive - ProAc Tablettes and a Lumin T2.  But I would love to hear thoughts/comments from anyone that may have compared these two amps, or have heard either one independent of the other.  My priorities include rich tonality, soundstage depth, and articulate bass.

I listened to the Pre 1 and Suara amp when I auditioned my DAC 1 Reference

It is great sounding gear .    I love the sound of that DAC , it has great tone.

The Integrated was on static display, I picked it up out of curiosity and it's hefty.

You. should try to audition one in home.

I agree with your advice, recklesskelly.  In an ideal world I would arrange a home audition - something that is easier said than done.

If in US , contact Fidelis AV in Nashua. They have a retail store plus they are the US distributor for LAB 12. They can help you out.

The guys at LAB 12 know how to voice their gear. It sounds great.

BEK HI-FI  in Allentown, PA has their Demo A20I up for sale on Audiomart....or you can call the store and talk to Erik. Wonderful people to deal with.

Grateful for the thoughtful advice on recommended retailer/distributor purchasing options.  However, my primary objective here is to learn a bit more about the sonic differences between the two units.  I suspect there are more similarities than differences between the two and an ultimate choice may come down to more practical issues such as cost/reliability.  Of course a home audition would be my best option for making an informed decision (oddiofyl), but, as previously mentioned, this would be a considerable logistical challenge.
