Kef Blade two mixed use

I use my speakers in dedicated media room so they are used for movies and games too. I have never once noticed them sounded harsh or poor  on none audiophile stuff. Any good speaker should be a non issue.
All of the speakers listed are pretty flat and should be a non issue. I tend to think the kefs sound a little hard with pushed hard so if your watching movies at reference level it could be an issue but that would be true of most speakers.

Been running the blades with a h360 for a little over a month now and there’s been several great speakers that always seemed like they were better at some things but not others. 1 local kef dealer (doesn’t carry blades) told me the h360 wouldn’t be enough to drive them but I’m rockin’. Once I got the toe in right the tonal balance sounded great, solid, un freakingbelievable  soundstage and images in space with excellent depth. I’m about ready to dub them poor man’s audiophile speakers because I don’t need to spend equal money on components. That said, those with more experience say better components will get audible improvements. 

My last passive speakers were the persona 7f and I think they went a little deeper, the blades make up for it with more output, pitch definition and control is excellent thru both. 
 Playing Soundgarden superunknown 24/96 off tidal while typing and the sound isn’t harsh. These speakers are as resolving(revealing?) as any I’ve heard and they’re surviving my 70’s rock as well as anything else. 

Mixed use shouldn’t matter as long as you can give them some space. The guy I bought mine from had them tucked into the corners toed directly in and that isn’t ideal for this design. Download the owners manual off the kef website and if you have room to follow their recommendations you should be fine. I could go on gushing over these, but I’ll stop. If you buy them I would like to hear how the hegel vs Mac driving the blades sounds.

I like the sound of the Blade two - do you think it will be too unforgiving for non-music listening?

Absolutely not. 

Your Blades will be incredible in your room for both TV and music. The Blades image like crazy so you won’t need a center.

I have auditioned Blades with e Hegel 360 and their top of the line separates. In both cases, they had enough power for the Blades. The Hegel rep also wanted to show off the Rost ,
Hegel Music Systems - Röst ,
with the Blades but I said do not to bother because I would never pair it with that unit.

I have some gear that I think would sound nicer with the Blades than the Hegel. The CODA #8 amp + CODA 07x preamp and my KRELL K-300i integrated. The Hegel felt a bit strong on the top end for me with the Blades.

I would also like to hear the Blades with my Benchmark AHB2 monos but I am not sure if that has enough power for the Blades power requirements. The new LSA Voyager 350 GAN that I am breaking in could also be a good candidate for the Blades. It is detailed and quiet like the AHB2 and has similar power as the CODA and KRELL. It is also a excellent sounding Class D amp.

For a room as large as yours the blade 1 might provide better bass.
