HDCP has made my processor obsolete

I own the Rotel 1582 processor and have recently discovered that I can't stream HD movies because the 1582 is not HDCP compatible. The web site, states that the 1582 has two HDCP, HDMI inputs. From what I have researched the compatibility on some units depends on the S/N. Seems like false advertising? Does anybody know more about this problem? I have not been able get any answers from Rotel support.

I can't answer that question but I can tell you I am sure it will be resolved in the future.  These digital protection schemes only work when they are compatible and fail when they are not.   Odds are there will be a fix out there soon.  If Rotel offers an upgrade, I'd recommend going for it.
