What is the right thing here................
The more I think of it, the idea that both woofers were blown after you sent them out in good working condition is incredulous. The replacement of the inappropriate woofer is appropriate compensation. Shame on the dealer!
What is the right thing here................
How about sharing the name of the dealer who did such a shabby job replacing the woofer in the first place. As they were not DOA, it seems to me that this flim flam procedure is the root of your problem. With out this obvious inconsistentcy there ...

If the amplification he used was within the speaker manufacturers recommendations, then I agree with Wloeb.
New Digital Format Copy Protection on Digital Out.
I don't know. But, I will not buy into these new formats until they offer digital out. I (at the sake of being relentless) believe the development of digital upsampling,cross-overs,amplifiers and especially room correction to be the most significa...
is2e or is2 transport.. what is available?
I think (NOT SURE) that Audio Alchemy used it as well. Be careful as I am not sure that these manufacturers products are compatible even though they may appear to use the same format (the hot pin location may vary?).I am sorry that I can't give yo...
Ugliest speaker ever?
Sdcampbell, your killing me.
Pioneer DV 47-A DVD-A output analogue only
This is why these formats are not taking the market by storm. Despite a theoretical advantage, they can't get it to work. Finally an affordable all in one machine, and it still full of glitches. Why can't we have a compatible cutting edge format t...
Ugliest speaker ever?
SdCampbell, thanks for the laugh, but not for bringing the "wonderful" picture to mind.
Why didn't the DAD format take off??
"DAD" stands for "Digital Audio Disc" the 96/24 audio only discs that can only be played on latter generation DVDplayer/transports. Some player/transports could only output this signal via analog outputs making the benefit of an outboard DAC moot....
SS amps. Why so much power?
P.S. this same musician friend had pretty good ears. After settling down and listening he shortly there after went out and replaced his Sansui and Proton equipment with Rotel, Creek and Linn. To be fair the previous equipment he had was probably t...
SS amps. Why so much power?
Re: volume, I once had a musician friend( trombonist) visit me, who upon walking in my door exclaimed "isn't your stereo kinda loud?" I replied that I was trying to replicate the the sound of the original performance ( a small jazz combo playing a...
SS amps. Why so much power?
I'll admit that the following is a gross exageration but (here it goes, I know I'll be eaten alive by some of you) I find most speakers with decent bass present a low numerical impedance load. Have mercy!
Anybody Tried this Room Correction Program?
Ezmeraldall, thanks for sharing your research. Some people seem to think that some of the newer versions of class "D" aren't so bad. It seems to me that the Spectrons, Bel Cantos and Linn have recieved some decent reviews. I understand that Jeff R...
Anybody Tried this Room Correction Program?
Ezmeraldall, I might be mistaken but I believe the TacT amps to be pure digital.
linelevel pre that facilitates balanced bi-amping?
I am not sure but Gryphon may have such a pre-amp.
