Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable?
I agree with Goeffkait that bind tests have very limited value, but for the primary reason that they don't correspond to listening and therefore are invalid.if I are merely hidden for your knowing what components are being used and you get to list...
Synergistic Red Fuse ...
I would not recommend your doing this. I didn't do this and had no problem. You might damage your component which might cost you much more.
Synergistic Red Fuse ...
I had previosly seen this thread but already knew of the SR Black fuse and bought four of them. I loved them but wondered if those on this thread thought the reds were better. Obviously I see now that this was not true. But I see now that there is ...
Insuring audio equipment
I am partially covered but basically, I trust my highly valued but not big brand gear would not be stolen. I should also add that the weight of the amps and speakers means also that they would be hard to move out.
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz
benjie, okay that is too far to go! Double magnetic adapters!!! Were I to try this, and yes I have room, I would have to supply support for both cables. Also I have to use special all copper RCA to XLR adapters into my BMC MCCI phono stage and the...
what does a power conditioner really do?

Coupling or Decoupling speakers?
I have BMC Arcadia speakers, but I have experience with Tidals also. Initially with both I tried the provided feet which were non-brass points. In both cases Audio Points (the 2 inchers) from Star Sound sounded much better.  Later I got Stillpoint...
Do equipment stands have an impact on electronics?
Signal proceeding through a wire induces an electromagnetic field around it, and if that wire vibrates it affects the electromagnetic field. In turn an electromagnetic field induces a signal within it. In audio reproduction this induced signal is ...
Review: VPI Magic Brick Tweak
I haven't used VPI magic bricks in at least twenty years and sold all but one of the many I had. I did hear a difference with them placed carefully on components. But with time I noticed that the leading edge was gone if they were near the signal ...
what does a power conditioner really do?
Have you tried the High Fidelity Waveguide ten outlet prototype that has been upgraded to present standards. It is the magnets that result in its performance. I have never heard the Elgar but the HFC outperforms the other 28 power conditioners I'v...

Are there headphones that image in front of you rather than in your head?
David and Humand, thanks for your posts. I am going to the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Oct. They usually have a large showing of head phones. I expect that AKG will be there.David, I was unaware of Darin Fong Audio! I'm going to correct this toda...
