Static attack! Time to get the humidifiers going
One up grade that I find works was when I bought a pair of Tommy Copper socks. The socks are infused with copper snd they have stoped the static shock I received when touching equipment and turn table.
Gustard R26
Yes I received the r26 and have been out of country for a while but now back. Have about 150 hours on it. I will try to make this short. I have never been more pleased with a purchase ever. First listening the bass jumped out and highs were sharp ...
Butcherblock Acoustics "feet" effecting sound and isolation
This is another area that a little goes a long way and too much can cause more harm. Richard Vandersteen put out a paper on isolation for speakers. He expressed caution in having to much isolation based on the facts of the movement of the speaker ...
How much is about the recording
Most people do not realize how bad a recording can be until they hear it on a great system. A good system will make good recordings excellent and bad recordings unlistenable. I love listening to great recordings on a great system as I find myself ...
Streaming
For me the main enjoyment of streaming music has been the discovery of new bands and new music that will never see the light of day on corporate main stream radio. You can find the bands and music from streaming net stations like Austin Blues Radi...
Trying to convert my streaming service from Spotify to Qobuz.
How old are your end points? I have some old Yamaha wI fi speakers that they will not update to Qobuz in the m-connect app. All their new speakers will support Qobuz but not the ones I have. It is frustrating as all it is is a software update but ...
Used gear prices and the state of the hobby.
Online selling has turned every seller into a marketing firm from real estate. They are no longer just selling their product but “selling” their items. Like everyone there is a give me a price I can’t refuse. They are not serious sellers as in get...
Jay’s Audio CDT3-MK3 wins over Aurender W20SE
This take me to the same place in the subject of analog vs digital streaming. People need to stop turning everything in to a competition. We right now have so many great ways to get music we know and discover new artist we never knew existed befor...
5 Dumb Things Audiophiles Believes.
No different than any shock jock in media. Take a hardline position on a subject that is very opinionated all in search of clicks not facts!
Roger Waters Live Last Night in Glendale,AZ
I walked out of a U2 concert after the third song for same reason. I like the music and thought I was paying to hear and see a “music show” not a political lecture from a rich activist. I think this all stems from their marketing firms they hire. ...
any lawyers in this forum care to give an advice?
Your first step should have been to refuse shipment call shipping co. and reported damage and that you were refusing receipt. Then you should have contacted the seller and had him report the damage to shipping company to start claim process. Once ...

Install A Dedicated AC Line at home
Find someone who can do it for cash on the side. You live in CA. If you go by the book you will need to pull permit, have three inspections, and an environment impact study done before any work. You will be in at 5K before they touch any wire. Mig...
Try This With Your SS Amp
I am doing same with my ss amps. Class A ss mono blocks generating plenty of heat, and then deliver the tube glow from the quad tubes in my pre amp.
Dedicated NUC/Nucleaus vs shared PC (w Fiber Media Converter connected to Endpoint)
Just my two cents here. A streamer at the end of the day is just a stripped down pc. Yes I understand the concept that by taking out all the other duties that a normal pc does can remove all the issues. Think sometime people are getting into an ar...
