Rega P25, would it sound better than my CDP?
I don't think my comment was out of place. And I'm not saying Regas are pitch perfect, because they aren't.But even if the test you propose makes the Rega sound sluggish compared to the seedee, that is not what you said. You said >music will so...
Rega P25, would it sound better than my CDP?
>With the Rega music will sound sluggish and percussion instruments will not sound crisp and fast.<Never in my life have I heard any Rega deck described as such. Years ago I had a P25 and that is not the way I heard it at all.Oz
Nuforce
Always a lot of yaking about how they compare to dry SS amps. How do they compare to something that really makes music? A good tube amp.Oz
BAT VK-30 vs. VK-5i
I have never heard the 5i, but owned a VK-30 and 3i. Of the two I would give the nod to the 3i. I could not warm up at all to the VK-30. I won it on a contest at the Audio Revolution website and foolishly sold my 3i before it arrived. I only kept ...
To anyone who has TT
Don't you just love the way these guys pose an incoherent question and then seemingly disappear from the face of the earth. It's almost like a drive by post.Oz
$5000 or under speaker secommendations?
I second the recommendation for used Sonata IIs. I have had mine for a little over a month now and am extremely pleased. Oz
Review: Denon DL-110 Cartridge
I think you need to reread what he wrote.>turntables OVER $1,000.00 generally won't perform any better than a $500.00 table<OVER is much different than between. If he had meant it the way you said it, yes I would agree. But I DO NOT agree th...
Review: Denon DL-110 Cartridge
>turntables over $1,000.00 generally won't perform any better than a $500.00 table and much can be said of phono cartridges as well<Nice review, but this is an utterly ridiculous statement. No one in their right mind could agree with it.Oz
How to tame remote volume control on TAD-150
>I am allowed to listen to music mostly at low to low-med listening volumes.<Ok, I gotta ask. Is it your mother or your wife who dictates this?Oz
Single Driver Horn vs Multi driver efficient spker
>I had my son in law over to watch a action movie a while back.<Damn, Gymane. I wouldn't have thought you were old enough to have a son in law ;-}. Must be all that good clean livin'.Glad you are still liking the speakers.Oz
Cartridge advice needed, dynavector 20xh now what?
I owned the 20XH and replaced it with a Benz L2. As good as the Dyna is, the Benz is way ahead in refinement resolution. The Shelter is also a good choice, had the 501 for a brief period, and the ZYX cartridges intrigue me.Oz
Short floorstanders?
>For music (the main concern)<If music were really the main concern, he wouldn't put such constraints on what speakers he can buy. And he wouldn't have that damn screen in between the speakers in the first place.Oz
H.P.Caravelles owners, are you still Satisfied.
I first heard the speakers on the homemade wooden stands while blcube waited for the dedicated ones, which was a loooong time. The sound was fantastic and I was sure it would only be better with the new stands. But they robbed the life out of the ...
H.P.Caravelles owners, are you still Satisfied.
I hope Blcube will chime in on this one. But we both heard the dedicated Sistrum stand severely deteriorate the sound of the Caravelles. Much of the magic of this speaker was lost with that stand. Even sitting them on a homemade wooden stand sound...
H.P.Caravelles owners, are you still Satisfied.
I can assure you that Blcube's post is not an ad, and not even exxagerated. I have heard the Caravelles in his home many time and they sound VERY good. Believe what you read about these speakers because they do some things as good as or better tha...
