I Was Stunned
If Dave and Troy say so, it must be..... true?

Stretch a little and get a used Oppo 105 D with Modwright modifications.
A public service announcement
Only really interesting if the cartridges are identified.
What I wish I knew before starting my audiophile journey
@dman1974  You mad bro? You lost me on that "clean power" nonsense. Is your clean power solar, wind or water? Also, you didn't state your budget in your OP, nor did you state you bought used gear.  And, I didn't talk about "months" to determine...
What I wish I knew before starting my audiophile journey
"I’ve considered myself an audiophile for over 3 years now. In those 3 years I’ve owned over 12 pairs of speakers, 10 amplifiers, 4 pre amplifiers, 7 DACs all in search for the perfect sound.' Seriously, dude, you must have more money than brains...
Absolute Sound's "Reviews"
Reviewers/authors all have their own style.  That makes it more difficult to determine the utility of many reviews across publications.  Having said that, if Mike Fremer actually likes something, it's probably pretty good-- maybe great.
You know when you are dealing with a BS company....
I thought this was a thread about Dave and Troy....
If you had $12k / £10k to upgrade your analogue front-end...
The Apheta 1 was an awful cartridge.  I find the Apheta 2 fully satisfactory. Stands to reason that the Apheta 3 would be even better.  I don't have any experience with the Aphelion.  So, you're "safe" as long as you go Apheta 2 or beyond, in my ...

Rega 10 with Aphelion.  Pass Labs XP17.  Keep the change for cables and miscellaneous expenses.  Enjoy the music.
Wilson to Tekton to ????
I don't know.  When I sold my Rega P6 with the Exact 2 cartridge, instead of throwing a sneaker at it because it sounded so crappy, that was something I was glad to sell and have never looked back.  I replaced it with a Rega RP10 with an Apheta 2 ...
How long does it take a decent quality speaker to "wear out"?
Good.  Just make sure you keep them away from running water 😃.  Actually, some manufacturers cite maintaining medium ranges of humidity as a way to ensure long speaker life.  Sounds reasonable to me.
Speakers that are good with tubes
I ran a pair of PSB Stratus Gold i's with my Conrad Johnson LP260M-SE amps.  It sounded great.  The LP260's use 8 KT120's per amp.  I was then able to upgrade to Conrad Johnson ART300 amps and Egglestonworks Viginti speakers.  The ART300's use 4 k...
Why Don't you hear more about Audio Physics Speakers??
The mid and upper range Audio Physic speakers look great and are well built. Unfortunately, their bass response is sadly lacking.  So, it really depends on the kind of music that you listen to.  But, if your music goes down to the lower octaves, t...
Potential upgrade path…
Their systems are theoretical, until they have an order to fill.
Too much power?
Life begins at 300 watts per channel.  Tubes, of course
