When to replace turntable belt?
I usually check platter speed with a simple phone app that also gives me a Wow reading and I save them. If I see that Wow reading start to get worse then it's probably time to replace the belt. As noted they are inexpensive so every 12-18 months i...
To LP Listeners: Fozgometer Experiences...
@lewm  I follow what you are saying 100% and I've read those 3 articles several yrs ago too. It's nothing groundbreaking, its all easy to understand the Korf scenarios. Foz does not measure crosstalk really, it measures channel balance by: 1. Gi...
To LP Listeners: Fozgometer Experiences...
You can look and adjust for everything and then decide on your own what settings sound best to you, on your system. Channel balance and azimuth are different settings. In my case, I don't have to make any adjustment for channel balance once I foll...
To LP Listeners: Fozgometer Experiences...
I have been using a Foz meter for many years, I have a V1, along with the AP Test LP. I use it to seat the stylus as close to perfect as possible in the groove based on the Fox meter readings. I then check the channel balance and it always reads 0...
Lyra washi DIY?
@tablejockey better look at sending back to Lyra for them to fix or replace the washi cover, especially if still under warranty. Plus JCarr can give it a once over and make any other adjustments if needed, for example to the suspension.

Look no further....Canton Vento 100. I had previous setup using dual SVS SB2000 subs and now with the Vento 100 there is no need for my subs. I'm not missing anything. I still like subs and would put them back in but need an external crossover as ...

How do small woofers produce large bass?
@bartsw  I never mentioned anything about power is needed for bass, you must be confusing your posts and which your reading. Most subs today are powered subs so they have their own amps, usually class D amps in the case of SVS. My SB2000 are rate...
How do small woofers produce large bass?
@bartsw  Well agree to disagree. You’ve never been in my room….I never said they play to 20Hz but are rated to 20Hz means they are capable of that.  Wgat does your amp have anything to do with this? Just confused by your replies.  Enjoy the musi...
How do small woofers produce large bass?
@bartsw  Not sure I understand your reply. What do you mean by marketing? We don’t hear anything below around 25Hz, it’s not about that. It’s about feeling and sustain of low notes. The SB2000 are rated down to 19Hz, so again it’s about feeling a...
How do small woofers produce large bass?
I was using 2 SVS SB2000 subs, I really like subs. Then I upgraded speakers to Canton Vento 100 uses dual 8” woofers and rated to 20Hz. I’ve removed the subs as they are not needed honestly.  My room gets pressurized as much as before.
Striking a balance between musicality and resolution
High resolution gives me a high level of musicality.
Looking for speakers in a large vaulted great room
