Turntable and Rack vibration control
I made these.  They seem to work well, look good, and are inexpensive.  You can get free samples of marble from your local home depot so you have have a wide variety of coloring to choose from to match just about any design.http://www.conradjohnso...
Conrad Johnson--does anyone use this brand anymore?
Late to the party but CJ is by far my most favorite audio manufacturer.  Currently have a CJ PV12, Evolution 2000 amp, and D/A-2b DAC in my system. Can't go wrong with CJ, "it just sounds right."
Conrad Johnson Repair Issues
I've dealt with CJ many times and they have always been very professional.  One time even giving me extensive advice that saved me the need to send it the unit and helped me diagnose an issue. No update from OP for some time now....
Whats the total gain of CJ Premier 3 phono input?
Although the total gain may be 68 dB, as I understand it, the cartridge should be matched to the phono stage gain, and not the total preamp gain. Is this not correct?

I live north of Boston, and I noticed that static has significantly lessened in my room over the past month or so. The air dryness in the winter time generates a significant amount of static and I find that I have to discharge myself on my power c...
Which is REALLY the best Conrad Johnson Preamp
@ZenblasterHow much does CJ charge for it? The other thing you may consider is selling it and buying a "new" PV10 as they go for not much more than it would cost to repair yours. You may also want to crack the lid and do some cleaning. Not much ch...
Conrad Johnson with Gallo Reference 3.1s
I think you should do fine with a Conrad Johnson tube amp unless you want to play it at deafening levels. I usually find that I play my music at moderate levels to perceive the most detail. I use a Conrad Johnson Evolution 2000 amp with Martin Log...
Any experience w/ Conrad Johnson MET150 5ch amp?
Here is somebody who has it in their system:MET150 in setup forum
Anyone else receive low offers right away ?
@Polk432Once again, I humbly disagree. The dealer at the dealership doesn't care how much money you have, they only care how much money they can get out of you (short term or long term). Audio equipment is almost never purchased on loans or financ...
Anyone else receive low offers right away ?
@MapmanWith all due respect, I don't think how much money you have should determine how much you pay for a particular piece of equipment. I think it's inherently in the best interest of the buyer to pay the least, and the seller to get the most. I...
Cost of running a tube amp.
I have all my components running through a power conditioner so when I an not using the system I turn the main power off on the conditioner which disconnects everything from the powerline. I don't primarily do this for the electrical cost savings,...
How many watts per channel are enough?
I have to agree with Zd542, the wattage ratings have not been very consistent in my experience. However, I think you should be ok unless you want to play really loud. Is there a way you could audition the amps before buying?
Anyone else receive low offers right away ?
@Jmcgrogan2 and JdorisI was not trying to "seller bash", I apologize if it came off that way. Quite the contrary I think audiogon has a very respectable seller community. The point I was trying to make (and perhaps not clearly) was that used elect...
Anyone else receive low offers right away ?
The truth is that Audiogon sellers "relative to other online auction sites" give very high starting prices. If you really want to sell something and want to see how much it is worth, put it in for $1 and see how much it goes for. I don't know what...

I bought a Conrad Johnson D/A-2b Processor recently. I really love the sound. I was wondering if anybody had experience with this unit as I would like to possibly try some different tube combinations to tweak the sound. Once again, nothing wrong w...
