Lumin X1 latest Review like we have been saying
Has anyone compared the Lumin X1 to their prior flagship streamer the S1? Also, I also can't find any reviews on the X1 as a pre-amp going direct to an amp via XLR.  This is an area where many dCS Rossini and Vivaldi owners have discovered the Ros...
Power Conditioner: Isotek, Audioquest or other?
@coto37 Don't buy a power conditioner to protect your equipment. If lightning hits your home and the circuit that the power conditioner is connected to isn't properly grounded, no power conditioner that I'm aware of will protect whatever's connect...
Speakers that can reveal orchestral instruments' positions
@gkr7007  I recently heard the Spatial Audio M3 Sapphire speakers at the Florida Audio Expo and was stunned by the SQ for such an affordable speaker. They just seemed to get all the notes correct without any exaggeration of bass, mids or treble. C...
Synergistic Research Cable Risers?
The funniest part of the SR cable risers is that they have a user manual. SR tells us the risers are directional and to avoid sag in the cables. Makes sense for SR to tell us to avoid sag as it forces you to purchase more risers. It's easy enough ...
Best songs to test speakers
If I'm limited to 1 album it would be a 'Book of Roses' by Andreas Vollenweider. It contains instruments that highlight all aspects of a system including harp (including some deep bass notes on the harp that many systems can't reproduce), piano, a...
Magnepan 20.7 and Subs
I'm a newbie Maggie 20.7 owner as I just received a pre-owned pair in excellent condition. The SQ and feeling that the artists are in the room with you is unbelievable.  I would like to trial the use of a sub to allow the sub to handle frequencies...
Streamers with best apps?
I've tried remote control apps from Lumin, Aurender, BluOs and DCS.  I agree with lots of folks that voted for Lumin - although the sound quality of the streamer is more important to me.  I'm thankful that DCS recently upgraded it's remote control...
Grimm findings on streaming audio
I recently switched from TIDAL HiFi to Qobuz after trialing Qobuz for 30 days.  Qobuz seems to have more hirez titles compared to TIDAL's MQA titles and you avoid the whole MQA debate.
Qobuz Special Offer
I've been a TIDAL HiFi subscriber for 4 years. I recently signed up for the 30-day Qobuz trial. Seems that Qobuz has more hires albums than TIDAL has MQA albums. I also find I can listen to Qobuz hires albums in my car's stereo by bluetoothing my ...
Yet another Qobuz vs. Tidal debate
I've been a TIDAL subscriber for approx 3 years.  I signed up for a 30-day Qobuz trial. I was skeptical at first but am finding the Qobuz catalog comparable to TIDAL for my tastes mainly in rock/jazz.There seems to be more hires albums in Qobuz ...
Most annoying song, period.
@jerseytraiI'm always surprised when I hear 'Blister in the Sun' at MLB games.
How many of you believe in MQA?
@LarryI don't think it's fair to judge the sound quality of MQA based on a BlueSound Node 2.  No offense but the old saying 'you get what you pay for' is in effect here.  I can tell you that me and many friends who have listened to MQA on my dCS R...
NAD M10 Streaming Amplifier
Any NAD M10 users able to fast forward/reverse Redbook tracks on TIDAL?  TIDAL MQA tracks allow this feature, but not Redbook tracks. Thanks in advance.
Sound Quality of red book CDs vs.streaming
@drbarney1 With all due respect, I think you're a bit off topic. This discussion thread isn't about downloading song titles and storing them locally.  It's about is the sonic quality of RedBook CDs better than using a streaming service such as Tid...
Sound Quality of red book CDs vs.streaming
@rvpianoI don't think there's a cost analysis that would show that purchasing CDs is less costly than music streaming services such as Tidal, even if Tidal was to double the price. Tidal gives you real-time access to over 40 million songs directly...
