Qobuz in the car
if your car does have a 3.5 mm AUX input, you can use an Audioquest Dragonfly with excellent results, better than Bluetooth IMO used ones are pretty cheap and will offer a big improvement
Signalyst HQPlayer - Is it worth the upgrade?
Hi @jbuddha882 - your post is great!  Liquid Honey!!  My experience with HQplayer upsampling to DSD has been great as well - so far I have been very budget limited and have been using the trial version on a laptop that's not very powerful, so I'm ...
Qobuz still messed up
@tcutter  you know you can set your Xfinity "Gateway" in bridge mode and use your own router, right?  it's not that easy, I had to have one of their techs do it.  It's supposed to be something you can do yourself, with the app on your phone, but ...
JPlay App
thanks, Marcin - I was thinking about the iPad settings as well
JPlay App
@marcin_gps  can you please post the settings on your iPad to make Jplay sound the best.  The one I remember is Battery Saver Mode thanks - I love your App
Connecting an iPad to a USB DAC
I had good success with an Audioquest Dragonfly - iPad>Camera Adapter>Dragonfly>preamp
Roon vs Qobuz Connect
@dwette "Now I have no choice but to use Roon." I think you do have choices.  I think you can use UPnP for free with mconnect or use JPLAY which is not free but many think sounds better than mconnect. unless I misunderstood your statement.....
anyone using Roon to convert PCM to DSD? it sounds a lot different and maybe better
@jc4659 why does a better DDC not provide galvanic isolation but an inexpensive one does? I was using a Douk Audio DDC and I'm auditioning a Gustard U18 at the moment

@hgeifman I think it depends on the DAC and probably the conversion software glad you liked the album - I got the recommendation from Stereophile magazine it's a great hobby!

@kofibaffour listen to the track I named and tell me if you hear anything (what DAC are you using?)
Would an external clock “help” in this signal chain?
@machine7  I’m a little late on this thread Dumb question:  are you getting the same harshness with CDs or vinyl?
Streaming from phone
@ecpninja do you already have the amp?  is your phone an iPhone?  I am asking because if you do not have an amp already you might consider an amp that supports LDAC streaming.  Android phones support LDAC streaming and as @oldmancraig has stated, ...
hooking up my stream ...no ethernet nearby
it might be confirmation bias but the powerline adapters might cause "dirty power" in your home.  That being said, now that I'm using an Audioquest Niagara in my main system I'm not worrying about it and I'm using them with a Tablo over the air TV...
Ethernet to SPF converters. What's your experience?
sorry I can't find the receipt for what I got but it's Amphenol.  If you search "Amphenol Direct Attach Cable" on Audiophilestyle you will get some good info.  I did not buy it from Amazon, maybe Cables On Demand....
Ethernet to SPF converters. What's your experience?
I have had experiences with FMC devices. But first - the first response to the OP was about clocks.  I am interested in this subject.  It looks like @sls883 has a Gustard DDC.  I am curious to know if @sls883 is using the I2S input on the DAC.  I...
