In Memory of Malcolm McLaren

The Godfather of punk died 4/8 at the age of 64 fighting terminal illness.
His career beyond Sex Pistols and New York Dolls was also very creative.
I'm spinning and enjoying his 'Paris' album...

Sweet Memories to the talented musician and producer.

The Pistols were the seminal band of my youth. They said what they needed to say and then broke up. Sid Vicious did not actually play on the album, so they could have continued but had the good sense not to.

PiL was terrific as well.

Thanks, Malcolm. RIP.
His girlfriend, who was with him and his son when he died, told the media that McLaren had traveled to New York in February for the launch of an art book before returning to Switzerland to receive treatment for cancer in a clinic.

RIP Malcolm.
