MC Cartridge suspension

Hi,
I have a Linn Arkiv mk1 MC cartridge that I bought new in the mid 1990s. It was retipped in 2000 but has had virtually zero uses since.
Does anyone have any idea whether the cartridge's suspension will still work now?

My bet is that it will work just fine.
