State-of-the-art DVD Video and SACD player?

I want to upgrade my DVD Video source to feed a Lexicon MC-12 and SharpVision XV-Z9000 system with state-of-the-art video feed, but also want to add SACD to my 2-channel audio chain (mainly Krell gear). What is out there at the moment or should I wait a few months more?

Sony DVP-9000ES, plays DVD & SACD. Don't let the price fool you (about $850-900 street price) -- type the model number in google.com and read the reviews. In the league with $3k players.
High end manufacturers have been slow to implement new digital formats because of high licensing and development costs. The big mass market guys have scaled up first. High end producers have started to roll out, like Meridian's 800 Series, at fairly high price points. I would wait a few months for a wider selection. The current (Feb/Mar 02) issue of TAS has a good survey article starting on page 45 that describes what's in the pipeline.
I personally recommend you wait. With that said, consider the PioneerAX10, it does CD, DVD, SACD, and DVD-Audio in one unit. The ONLY Pioneer piece on the market worth owning.
