Clicking Popping on some tracts thru AKM 32bit/DSD64 Amanero Chipset DAC

JRiver.  And yes the files are local to the computers in question.

Beg steal or borrow another DAC to try.  As the tracks are local how where they created? What format are they? Does it happen if you play on a different system? Is it the tracks themselves? Bad USB cable? It could be bad tracks or the DAC playing up. Is it always the same tracks that click and pop?

Do the clicks and pops haoppen only on particular tracks that you’ve tried playing more than once and never on other tracks? If so, are the pops/clicks always in the same location on the track?

If the answer is yes to both of those this has nothing to do with your DAC or clock.

Go to the Amenaro web site and confirm you have their latest firmware ,if not then delete the old file ,download it and open it up then instal ,

and remember to disconnect the usb cable ,turn off the dac then after it’s reinstalled then reconnect the usb cable and turn on dac 

that happened to me before I bought a dedicated streamer.

I get the occasional click/pop from JRiver. I blame my notebook computer, an old Dell. Likely a problem streaming from RAM or a processor interrupt.  I’ve just learned to live with it as I’m not ready to upgrade my file serving computer.
