Bookshelf speaker recommendations

B/W's are excellent, especially for around 600-800 dollars.  I just gave them to a friend and upgraded my office set up with JBL 4309's.  Outstanding but around 2k, but I bought mine via Audiomart from a small dealer for 1k.  They pair great with my JBL 4312A on stands.  Powered by Carver amps.  

First recommendation, don't put them on a bookshelf.  Place them on a stand out away from the wall, unless specifically designed for wall placement.

I have the Nola Boxer bookshelf speakers at a cabin. We have been very happy with them. I picked up a REL subwoofer on sale to add to the system and it was a nice addition.

At $1000  I also agree used is the way to go.
