Back in the late seventies, I went to see (?) and Billy Joel was the warmup band and he blew the place away with what was soon to be the Piano Man album. I have his first 5-6 albums and still listen to them. I did find it amazing that he never learned to read music. I know he’s not the only one, but it did surprise me.

He was in his twenties and at the time a regular upstart musician with genius talent I encourage for people to stay away from the hits and listen to his first five albums which are filled with incredible music.
