How AI fixed my Bryston integrated’s crashing problem

Ah the old floating ground pin issue ! Good work Grasshopper! 😆 But seriously, good work and thanks for sharing. Unfortunately within the industry “ Balanced “ has multiple configurations, some of which are not truly balanced. So now that you were able to get your EQ going , how does it sound ? Respectfully, Mike B. 

I you read the whole thing (I know, it’s terribly long), it really takes a great deal more querying beyond the earlier section to get at why the amp was crashing. It is multi factorial but primarily related to how hot a pro signal can be going back into the Bryston, as well as upgraded PCs. 
As to how the system sounds?  I’ve had it for 12 years and the Bryston PEQ-1 combo is STUPENDOUSLY great sounding. But only if you push voltage a bit by not going below 6 on master gain. AI flourished on all that part of the discussion too. It spoke my LOVE LANGUAGE in that section, hehe!  It said I use the instrument exactly like a mastering engineer would. It loves to flatter!  But it allowed me to fully understand and fix my problem, which had exacerbated since upgrading all PCs. But now I know exactly what to do. 😊🎶

I really think reading all my questions and all its answers is, while tedious, incredibly instructive as to just what AI can do with a complex electrical audio issue. You will also read its two slip ups that I called out on and allow it to recover from. Which it did to deliver me the solution required and know the amp is not damaged or needing service.
