REVERB LOSES PACKAGE AND WON"T PAY LOSS

I buy a (2) piece pre-amp and power supply and Reverb ships it with signature only on one box, the other box is lost and they won't do anything, so I go into Pay-Pal and they say that its Reverb's problem so I can't file a "Un-delivered claim" ...So now I'm out at least 1200.00 for half of my purchase........Reverb lets the seller decide if they are going to pay a refund, So of course he won't pay the loss..............So when you buy on Reverb you will take a chance on losing your whole purchase and nobody will do anything.......

I’m sorry that you’re experiencing this situation. As someone who’s purchased quite a bit of used audio gear over the past few decades, I can certainly understand your frustration. Especially when you’ve lost a significant amount of money.

I’ve usually had positive experiences with other sellers, but on occasion some got kinda flaky when  I contacted them in regard to a piece of equipment that was not working properly on arrival. Most failed to respond to my emails.

IME when you’re dealing with vintage gear these types of situations go with the territory unfortunately.

As for your situation where one of two packages was lost, that’s perhaps the most frustrating type of transaction,  because you must now research the chain of events that led up to the package going missing.  Was it accidentally lost or stolen? And if stolen, by whom and during which leg of its journey?

Ultimately who’s responsible?  If the delivery company claims that the package was delivered what proof have they offered?

I hope that you are able to obtain some satisfaction in this situation. If not, it will sadly be an expensive lesson in making certain that your future transactions are protected to the best of your ability.

If at all possible it’s best to pay for the maximum insurance that you can obtain for your package. This way if it’s lost you’ll obtain the full value of whatever you paid for the item whether it’s lost or stolen.

Best of luck with the situation! 👍

Dob:  The first thing you don't get is "credit card"   I didn't use a credit card, Second I used my pay-pal account which has the funds, it is not backed by the bank or credit card, it is intirely backed by pay -pal account.........But since you rambled along it appears you have no idea of the problem , so you sure don't have a solution............

Jimmy;    The shipment was made in a odd way, I almost think it was on purpose .....The two packages were shipped to me at the same time, one with a signature and one without a signature........They leave the one that doesn't need a signature and suppose ly ship the other box to Staples for delivery to me, but when I go to Stables nobody knows anything, no box, no nothing.....And that is where we are...........

Did Reverb send the packages? Has whoever had sent two packages provided you with tracking numbers? Very confusing.

I'm not going to win this because I have had no communication with a human, it's all  computer generated, and it just goes over the same thing over and over...........But at least other people will see what happens if you buy on Reverb and have a problem...........You will get screwed out of your money and just get tired of chancing it.........Reverb doesn't care, there computer generated answers can go on forever, and they know the buyer can't.............There is no real solution and they know it.........
