Any Paradigm Persona 7F's in mid-atlantic region?

You might give Audio Exchange down here in Richmond, VA a call to see what they have available...they carry Paradigm (and Magico, Sonus Faber, B&W,  Focal and others, I believe).

FWIW, I have Paradigm Persona 3F's (purchase from Audio Exchange) and pair them with two Martin-Logan Dynamo 10 subs (impressive little dudes that also have Anthem ARC built-in).  Result is fantastic bass response in my small room (14x12; open to an office alcove); deeper and smoother than Persona 3F's alone.  I would have really liked the Persona 7F's myself, but I know I'd have trouble with bass response in my room.  I'm considering Persona 9H's down the line, which of course have integrated powered subs (w/ARC) and I've heard them at shows in smaller rooms...awesome.

I owned a pair of 7f's and the 8.25 woofers are massive and overbuilt! The dealer wanted me to step up to the 9's because of the built in subs, but I didn't need it. The Persona line are probably as good as we can get at the price, but...They're super revealing of source and placement. I listened to the demo pair a year and for all they did it wasn't til I heard them driven by the Pathos Logos mk2 that I said SOLD! The dealer was in a 20x14' room and he placed the speakers along the long wall about 6' out so there was no reflective surface within 6' from any reflective surface! An insanely impractical set up, but after owning my pair it was obvious they do need room to breathe to keep the glare from creeping in.

steve59 6 feet from the rear wall is not only impractical but, in my case, it's not possible. It is becoming obvious why the Paradigm dealers are reluctant to bring the 7's in to the showroom.  They want to sell the 9's with ARC.  Great info I appreciate it!

FYI, looks like Paradigm just boosted the MSRP on the Personas...

I had heard at CAF last fall from the Paradigm rep that they were working on a Persona update, but maybe that isn't going to happen...
