Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

I was referring to the 3.7 as Jim's swansong. The radial wave drivers and motor system advances were a leap ahead. New things are also in the works.

@tomthiel, I was replying to @jafant 's suggestion that the 3.7's abilites to better fill larger rooms would then "require"  larger rooms and more power for the 3.7's than the 2.4's. Where as, I am suggesting that the 3.7's slightly larger size and slightly greater bass output, can work just as well, if not better in most of the same rooms for most users as the 2.4's, and do so with nearly half the power of the 2.4's.

Agreed. Another elephant in the room is listening level and music type. A model 1 can fill an impressively large space playing vocals with simple arrangements at restrained levels.

In the days when most hi fi was bought through vetted dealers, properly solving these puzzles was central to their function.
