AGD Duet Monoblocks

Considering replacing my Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated with AGD Duet monoblocks, using my Linn Selekt DSM (with Organik DAC and Utopik power supply upgrade) as a preamp direct to the monoblocks, paired with Vivid Audio Giya G1 Series One speakers. Objectives are clarity, microdetail, and imaging. Would be interested in comments from any AGD owners, especially AGD Duets owners. Thanks!

Have you tried Atmasphere's mono blocks? I've yet to try them, but I suspect they're quite good, given his great reputation in the audio industry.

I'm currently trying out some Fosi V3 mono blocks and am quite surprised at what they're doing in my system. Of course, they don't come with bragging rights, but I borrowed them from someone with quite an amazing and complex system who really loves them.

All that said, I'll be interested in hearing about the Duet mono blocks. I really liked the Audion III monos when I had them for a bit over a week.

I have Duets in my primary system and a Tempo in my secondary.  The Duets are not going anywhere.  They drive Harbeth 40.2's.  I am 100% satisfied with them. They are a step up from the Tempo, but not a HUGE step (family resemblance).

Whether the Duets have all the bass "heft" of heavy-iron class AB power amps--think Accuphase, Coda, or your Gryphon--I couldn't say.  You'd need to do a side by side to be sure.  I'm not sure if Alberto Guerra does home trials.  He is, BTW, a pleasure to deal with.

I've had Duets for over 1.5 years and wouldn't trade them for anything except Gran Vivaces. Listening to Allen Toussaint - The Bright Mississippi r/n and it couldn't be more pleasing. I credit their detail with helping be to "get more" out of the room treatment tweaks I've been on recently. I just know they will show me more as I tune the room. Alberto himself is an endearing, immovable, nerd & worth talking to at shows. No regrets here
