Speaker cables - cables make a difference

@buellrider97  First, Terry is with Stereo Times, not Stereophile.  Second, take a serious look at the Micca 14. It outperforms my longtime favorites, AudioQuest solid-copper cables and of course Monoprice. While its treble isn’t quite as refined (a bit rolled off), everything else is almost on par with my Belden 5T00UP 10 AWG diy speaker cable. It has generated some serious hype on the forum.  

I have long and not equal length TWL American speaker cables. I have a friend who was thinking that trying different (and equal) cables would be an improvement. So I did - and one with a return policy. The new ones, which are similarly priced, sounded worse (!). It was that some realism vanished. Even the jumper cables made a (negative) difference. I'm not going to mention the name of the other cables btw but I sent them back. 

RCAs also make a difference and in my system I found that power cables make the biggest difference. I borrowed those (and the RCAs) so it wasn't expectation bias there either. I expected to hear no difference.

Richard omit "lower resistance". Missed my window of opportunity to edit my post and that's all you'll focus on till the sun goes white dwarf!

I should add that of all the lower priced speaker cables I tried, the Blue Jeans 12 awg ranked best. But the move to Acoustic Zen was a whole different story.

I had my journey from blue jeans cable all the way to my Transparent and each upgrade I had its ups and downs, all i can say, if one hears a difference, then all goes well. if NOT, then maybe one cannot discern. nothing wrong, you just can't hear it

as far as Break in is concerned, i am again a true believer. cables or gear, i really think break in does make changes for the good. and when doing break in, no matter what it is, 200 to 400 hundred hours. others say a lot shorter, but I don't believe that as I tried it. if it passes the 200-hour mark (rough estimate), the sound just transforms. and yes, all my gear where all purchased new. so, break in was a process I did without a doubt and I hear changes

what I cannot explain is the break in of acoustic panel. when my new panels arrived, I expected a change BUT to my disappointment, nothing changed

so, I decided to just play the music loud, put it in streaming, Left the house for 2 days with the music playing, then came back after 2 days and, Wola!! there was a transformation. I scratched my head and said, how the heck did that happen, but I can discern the change.
