Speaker cables - cables make a difference

Always used plain copper cables. Can anyone recommend starter cables that don't cost more than a few hundred dollars and make a difference?

@degalbraith77   Simple answer is no.  Not for a few hundred dollars.  I have wasted money thinking that it might.

OK boxcarman, Where can I begin this adventure? what is the entry point?

@degalbraith77 I made a concerted effort and tried a number of lower budget speaker cables and did not find one that really changed my system. It does not mean they don’t exist. The first pair of speaker cables that really opened my ears to the possibilities was a used pair of Acoustic Zen, these made a noticeable and very positive impact. There is a good used market for these, I would troll on hifishark and see what is available.
