Is anyone still using a CD Player

I have a bunch of CDs and the Krell 505 player.  I find myself defaulting to my Aurender Streamer and never listening to CDs.   I’m considering getting a CD Ripper and loading them via HSD or SSD card and loading into the Aurender.  Thoughts?  Am I in the dark ages even keeping the CD Player?

LOL, I just started again last week . I have nice mid Fi gear but it’s fairly resolving. I’ve not spun a disc for years. I broke out my Musical Fidelity transport as I just upgraded to a digital balanced cable to my DAC. Got out some old Cowboy Junkies CD’s to get some time on the cable and it sounded pretty good. FWIT I have a hardly used Oppo 105 in the closet too. I’m stepping up to balanced gear and gonna retire my plasma tv for a big OLED and figure I can enjoy all those old concert Blue Ray DVD’s I have. I have one of “ Queen “ that was transferred from 16 mm and it’s absolutely outstanding. As an old fart I finally let go of my Harley’s and they were both older and carbureted. I think we just enjoy older stuff and the ritual it requires. Best of health and happiness to all of you, Mike B.

I still have a cd transport, but all my Cd’s are ripped to my streamer. I use my player once in a blue moon to make sure it’s still working.

I have a Denon DCD-1700NE cd/sacd player.  I think it's a very nice player for the money (especially at the price that I paid).  I can't say that it sounds better than streaming, but I keep it because I have a lot of cds and not every album is available on the streaming services.

I have a Neodio Origine S2 CD player in my main system, and a SimAudio 260DT (cd transport) coupled with a Modwright Elysee DAC in my second system. Play CDs 85-90% of the time, and buy a few or several most months.
