When did you get your first turntable and what’s been your turntable history since then ?

zavato

my first was a Sanyo, which I still have, that was bought in 1979. Since then, a couple of Projects, Rega P6, Clearaudio dc Performance.

I currently have a Reed Muse 3(c). Probably my last one.

Garrard SL72B

Sony PS-X5

Denon DP-6000

Denon DP-80

Oracle Delphi III

VPI TNT III, which I'm still using, although it's had a few mods along the way.

BSR 4-speed changer in a Steelman mono/AM portable (suitcase style) for Christmas at 13 in 1955.

Dual 1009 in my first component stereo system, 1966.

List similar to neonknight's, although possibly not as long.

Technics SL-1200G current and likely last.

Great post query and responses!

I love to read what others have/had…especially the notes in each model. The open candor of the members of this blog is great, with rarely a case of another member snapping on a post.

Please keep it rolling….at near 70 I am still looking for vintage TT and cartridge ideas, especially those that are deemed by many as quality and are affordable.
