Posting photos?

@elliottbnewcombjr, after so many attempts to assist us I can understand your frustrations.

However I've made four attempts following your suggestions.  And I'm on a Mac so I did right-click.  With your guidance I was able to copy the desired photo, after posting it in My Profile.  But each time it came out like your compressed holiday image shown above.

Also,Tammy was the one who replied to my initial question, suggesting I ask some other member who had posted photos.  So no help there. 

Lastly, @ghdprentice, I apologize.  My reply to you about OP was my mix-up with another post on this subject.  I appreciated your comment.

you said ’copy the photo’. that will not work. you need to ’copy image address’, not the photo. that was when it finally worked for me.

You could also try a different browser. To get rid of the pop-up ads here, I changed to ’Brave’ browser (built-in ad blocker): it works for my Windows PC, says linux and macOS

So far, the AI answers seem straightforward. I always identify any AI I post.

Elliott, when I said "copy the photo" that was a simple way for saying "Copy Image Address".

I’ve been able to work through the process to place a photo with my Comment.  The problem has been each time there is horizontal compression of the image.  It appears like your distortion example of the holiday picture.

@elliottbnewcombjr and all, this time it worked.  Not sure why but Elliott's instructions were good..

After copying the image I clicked on the 6th icon/Image, then clicked Edit and Paste.  Width showed 2048 and Height 1536.  So I again entered 600 in Width and this time 450 appeared in Height.  All this successfully posted the image I've been attempting. So many thanks at last, even while not a sharp image.
