Posting photos?

I recently attempted to add a photo with a comment here.  Both dragging the photo and copying and pasting the IMG failed.  This is with an iMac.

I ask Amazon how to do this and just received a reply suggesting asking others how they succeeded.  So, summary help will be appreciated.

@noromance

hmmm, I’ll try it with op’s system photo (same as what I did above, perhaps a few pixels different)

this, from the virtual system, when entered in the url line, came in as 627 x 470. I left it unchanged, I do not know why OP's photo is such a low resolution.

here’s one, it came in as 644 x 470

this came in as 2048 x 1365, (aspect ratio 1.50 like 35mm film) totally distorted

now, change the width from 2048 to 600 after I paste the image address I copied

it changed the height to 400 (aspect ratio 1.5 was retained), it is not elongated. I did not need to hit source or anything else. What I explained above works properly.

WTF,

I asked everyone to try it.

No one is willing to try?

Everyone is unable?

I’m not being stubborn, just persistent as I believe it would be very nice to solve this for everyone.

btw, I'm using ad free browser BRAVE if that makes a difference, I doubt it.

repeat

1. the image must be already anywhere on the web

2. right-click the image: copy image address

3. this window: top bar, 6th icon from the left, IMAGE, click it

4. a window opens, waiting for you to paste the Image’s URL (it’s address on the internet). Paste the Image Address in that URL box

5. width: enter 600 (the height will be automatically entered)

6. click OK

Right Click (Control Click on a MacBook Pro gives you Reload Page, Show Page Source, Save Page As, Print Page and Inspect Element.

Macintosh Users:

In Web Browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox)

  • Right-click (or Control-click) the image.

  • Select Copy Image Address or Copy Image Link from the context menu.

  • If the option is missing (common in Safari on some sites), select Open Image in New Tab, then copy the URL from the address bar.

if still problems, maybe ask support here, Tammy has helped me several times.
