HiBy FC1 vs. just about any modern or vintage DAC out there.

Cost? Just around 20 dollars or so.

I doubt anyone will be able to tell a difference with their system.

Let’s assume  the following case scenario:

1. same speakers

2. same cables

3. same amplifier

The test:

Use a 3.5mm cable to RCA or balanced in to your preamplifier or integrated amplifier on a spare input.

basically, it’s 2v plus a little extra mw, designed to drive headphones.

If anything it’ll be a bit louder than your system, but fundamentally, you won’t be able to hear any difference between it and any solid-state DAC out there in terms of resolution, detail, timing, or instruments/vocals clarity.

Why? Because digital audio has advanced to the point where we are at its limits, and can shrink down the electronics this small, without sacrificing anything. Just look at how far computers and smartphones have come. Audio reproduction is no different in the digital domain.

Lordy, is this nonsense still going on?

My mind bogglingly stupendous intellect has been thinking about this for minutes and here’s what it came up with:

Whomever initiated this little frank human/bot experiment was the initial thread starter and poster. The human ’frank’ posted like an intolerable jackass to get traffic flowing to his threads. Mission accomplished. When he was satisfied he had a large enough audience, he switched over to Chatbot ’frank’ and studied the outcome. You can plainly see when it happened as the two posting styles are crazy different. The lies and arrogance were replaced by robotic, generic posts. Now that everyone’s caught on, whomever started this is now co-mingling the two to throw us off. You'll also note tons of his posts being deleted that don't fit the new narrative.

Nice try, ’frank’!

@thecarpathian

As usual, you are wrong. That's nothing new.

I agreed with one of the moderators that I'd "tone it down a bit."

This is why my posting styles are dissimilar to what they were when I made my first posts.

I have been civil and showcased excellent composure. There's no debating that.

@frank009 ,

Then riddle me this one frankie;

Why didn't you start out civil instead of being an arrogant, lying, BS slinging d*uche?

@thecarpathian

I was astonished when I read posts like yours and others (and not in a good way.)

if i am wrong about an audio-related subject and you have the proof for it, I’m all ears. Until that day comes, the chickens will keep clucking. Do your part by being the signal, not the THD.
