What one change to your room, system, or setup made the biggest improvement?
Diffraction and absorption panels, speaker positioning (7 feet from front wall) and, recently, properly dialed in dual subs set up asymmetrically relative to my dedicated room with the help of (gasp) Chat GPT. I am a very happy listener these days.

Should AI generated posts be banned or otherwise regulated?
No. Up until very recently I was reluctant to use AI but, after reading some AI generated responses in this forum, decided to give it a try. In Chat GPT I plugged in my rooms' asymmetrical dimensions, loudspeaker and subwoofer models and position...
Unable to hear back of the head sound effects
I believe it has to do with loudspeaker setup, the room, and of course the recording. I can clearly hear percussion to the right rear in Euge Groove's song "Twelfth Night". Of course there are others but this song stands out for me.

Hegel hum?

@mofimadness,  That was my first album, many great songs on there especially "Blues" on side two. I remember staring at the cover art while listening to the album. I no longer have it on vinyl but do have the CD.
Why even full range speakers need subwoofers!
Agreed, although I have no way to high pass the mains. I have blocked the ports on my Elipson 24F's and low passed the two subs at 45hz (12db). The mains are rated down to 30 hz (-3db) before extension and, in my treated room, sound better than wi...

What speaker is the most musical, one you never want to sell?
Although not in the same league as most loudspeakers here I am blown away by the sound quality of the Elipson Prestige Facet  24F's along with a pair of subs. The tweeters in particular I find very pleasing and non-fatiguing . They were reasonably...
Qobuz vs. Tidal — Real-World Impressions on Selection, Sound Quality & Musicality
Great question. I am in the Tidal camp, mostly because it was the first one I tried after a recommendation from an audiophile friend (he owns a hi end store where I get my gear from). I tried Qobuz but didn't find much difference except the interf...
Practical tips for setting up your subwoofer(s)
Those of us without any bass management or LFE have to take a slightly different approach. Here is my experience adding a subwoofer. Without any HPF to the mains a lower than normal sub LPF will integrate better with less overlap. Since there is ...

Galion vs Luxman vs Advance Paris vs (anything else)
While I can't comment on which amplifier to get I can add some advise regarding a subwoofer. I added the little SVS SB 1000 Pro to my system and it definitely adds to the lower end foundation and sound stage. Most people cross it over too high IM...
