@gdaddy1 exactly how would you define the status quo?

in my experience for the last 30 years, the status quo is people like Frank (Who increasingly seems like a robot) who don't either take the time to listen or they don't have the ears to listen or they don't have the environment to listen, or they are simply dogmatically religiously attached to their view of outdated science… and they condescend to everyone else

To me that's the status quo so what are you saying?

are you saying that the PhD in material science that's behind Shunyata is somehow just brainwashing people out of their money?  If that's his skill set, I'm sure there are better places to brainwash than the world of Audio Cables, wouldn't you think?

Why not take your complaints to the moderators? The way you describe it, it’s as though everyone’s ganging up on you here. That's just not fair! And with your exceptional intellect, powerful logic, and irrefutably superior knowledge I’m sure you could easily convince them. I’m a little surprised that you’ve overlooked this most sensible and efficient option, but of course you have a lot on your mind.

I think it's a fair assesment to say there are two opposing camps. Subjective (Agon) vs objective (ASR). Status quo here is a belief, as you are suggesting, that you should trust your ears to guide you. Listening/ears is your tool of choice.

It's a fact that human bias affects everyone. YOU are not exempt to this fact. The most dangerous of these bias is one called "superior bias". It occurs when a person believes they know all the answers and don't need to listen to anyone else. In fact, they see ANY opposing opinions as the enemy and are treated as such.

Your ears are the weak link and can NOT be trusted. Much too easy to manipulate outcomes cause by bias. No need to get angry but better to understand what's at play here.

So you believe science and test equiptment is outdated?  Shunyata uses test equiptment. Not good? Should I NOT believe their results because it's "outdated?"

This test equiptment has NO bias. It's shows what's there. Your ears do not. They lie.

My point is don't get offended when someone goes against your beliefs. Lets all try to have civil discussions and learn from each other.
