Lyngdorf TDAI 2210

Hello all,

Curious if anyone has compared one of these new units to the 2170 or the 3400? Really nice looking unit. Or if you have one and what your impressions are.

I have a few weeks in with this guy at this point. It’s a joy to use and build quality is great. I found the 3400 a bit sterile but not with the same speakers I had when I had the 2170 which was great. I find the 2210 very musical and has plenty of power. It’s a true all in one that has stellar sonics, small footprint, and a joy to use.

The touch screen seems very high quality and is as responsive as an iPad.

The room perfect made a huge difference in my main living room upstairs. Not so much in my basement but did also make an improvement. Not a small investment but seems somewhat of a bargain for basically an entire system that performs at an A level with arguably the best room correction available. Very happy with it!

I picked up a 2210 a few weeks ago and so far am really impressed with its performance.  I previously had a 2170 and was looking to simplify with the on board streamer of the 2210.  I spent several days comparing the 2170 and the 2210 with RP and found them to be very similar in sound.  If pressed, I'd say the 2210 has a slightly blacker background and provides more 'air' to the music.  Overall, the presentation is very natural and relaxed.  I know some people have reported a loss of high end content with RP engaged, but that is not the case for me.  My wife (who has better ears than me!) described the 2210 as presenting a cleaner, deeper soundstage that has more detail and yet relaxed presentation.  We can listen to all types of music for hours, at background levels or concert levels, without ever getting listener fatigue.

For me, the 2210 was an improvement over the 2170 and Aries streamer sound wise, and it is really convenient to be able to operate everything from my iphone.  Steaming Tidal and comparing closely I preferred the 2210 setup.  RP for me is a game changer.  I have a dedicated room (26'x15'xvaulted ceilings) and am always surprised at the 'cleaned up' sound after running RP.  The 2210 has plenty of power for my Tekton Moab speakers and the interface is very good.  I have not had too  many software issues in my simple setup of streaming music from Tidal and via airplay/bluetooth for the kids music.  There is an issue when setting up a second configuration with dual subs - the distance changes from feet to cm when entering the distance for the second sub.  Changing everything to cm fixes things.

Lyngdorf has been a game changer for me.  The 2170 (which at the current used price is a no-brainer) replaced separate amps/preamp that cost thousands more and provided superior sound.  The 2210 improves on the sound of the 2170 and provides a convenient interface.  I know everyone's tastes are different, but the 2210 has brought a smile to my face.
