Items from audiophile's estate, list and photos link provided; helpful advice appreciated!

Hello,

I'm tasked with selling audio equipment from the estate of a late friend. I'm hoping to sell it all as a lot, but may have to list the best of the items individually. For pricing, I tried to find similar items at "SOLD" prices. I then reduced my price by 50% since I haven't tested any of the equipment. I want to be very fair, but the goal, of course, is to help with my friend's final expenses. I'd appreciate any constructive comments; thank you!

Hello tomic601; thanks, I understand and under the circumstances expect that I'll have to settle for low prices. I know that most if not all of the gear will need some sort of tweaking before it's in good form, so I suppose a low price is fair for gear with an X-factor.

I really appreciate your kind words. The guy was my friend and my wife's cousin. My wife is the executrix, which is both an honor and a terrible job.

Hello pindac. Wow, 900 miles for gear! It sounds like the trips were worth it and you really like what you bought. I'm sure it helped the family out, too. Helping my wife handle the process, from grunt work carrying and cleaning to trying to sell things to satisfy debts has really made me think that I need to prepare for the inevitable more. In fact, my birthday is tomorrow and that's another reminder that I'm almost 70. Time flies! Thanks, my friend, for your thoughts and for sharing your experiences!

Thanks again, tomic601! We're doing OK and just going one step at a time. Be good to yourself, my friend!

This is a challenge to go through. Are there any pictures?

maybe you might want some of this stuff if that’s possible. Or you could purchase it

Who did he buy the gear from does he have any invoices can you go back to these people to see if they want to buy it back or whatever.

I find that people don’t mind spending the money but they do mind when the process is very difficult so they don’t want to deal with it.

Maybe go after the low hanging fruit to reap the most value and then throw the rest in a pile and light a match.

It's not good to read that the gear hasn't been tested so nobody's gonna buy it then or at least have much of an interest
