Room treatment

Aside from furnishings in a room, does your listening area have any room treatment, ie, absorbers, diffusers, etc?

zavato

Yes, prior to changing from GIK Acoustics to Artnovion Acoustics I took all room treatment out of the room. I realize everything sounded better with room treatment, so I ordered Artnovion panels.

Yes. I used decorative items that are also dampening. I am fortuante to have started with an outstanding space. Speakers are at one end of a large space that is shaped like a Z, say 35 by 35 feet. Then used heavy wool oriental rugs, and oriental pillows behind the speakers... the side and back walls are far away and have a wall of records. Also, every aspect of the room is asymmetrical. I have corner traps. I used to have bass traps... but no difference without them... so I got rid of them. You can see it in my virtual systems.

@zavato  Yes, lots!  Are you asking as a kind of quick survey, or is there something specific you'd like to discuss about treating a room?

@kevinzoe Just a survey to satisfy curiosity. I have treated my room and have found the results are profoundly positive to the point that I view room treatment as a very high value proposition
